If you have any questions, feel free to email Emily Smith at ELSmith@caddo.k12.la.us *Summer Reading* 7th Grade - Elijah of Buxton by Christopher Paul Curtis 8th grade - Diamonds in the Shadow by Caroline Cooney *Update - 7/26/2010 There have been some students who have had difficulty locating the 8th grade novel, Diamonds in the Shadows by Caroline Cooney. This novel is available at both Barnes and Noble and Books-a-Million. Barnes and Noble has ordered an additional 30 copies which will be in the store by Friday, July 30th. Books-a-Million will have 12 copies in on Thursday, August 5th. |

IMPORTANT DATES *Back to School Parent Orientation Meeting for ALL grades: Sunday, August 15th at 2:00 in the auditorium. 6th grade students may attend and report to the library. No 7th and 8th grade students should attend on Sunday. At this meeting you will be able to: Pay school fees - $35.00 Order DBMS t-shirts Purchase yard signs and bumper stickers (these will require cash or separate checks made payable to DBMS). *Back to School Parent Orientation (make-up): Tuesday, August 17th at 6:00 in the auditorium. *Registration begins on August 10th. The first day for students is Wednesday, August 18th. |
