Donnie Bickham Middle School
| Just who was Donnie Bickham??? Donnie Bickham Middle School was named in April of 1987 by the Caddo Parish School Board. Donald "Donnie" Thomas Bickham, a 1970 graduate of Northwood High School, met a tragic death in 1972. He was the victim of a head-on collision caused by a drunken driver on a four-lane Texas highway. He was an exemplary student who excelled both academically and athletically. Many of his accomplishments and memorabilia are displayed in the the trophy case located near the library. In approving the name, it was felt that Donnie's achievements may motivate other students and that his life of service could be a model for students to follow. |
